I get out of the tunnel, and I look around I seeI man selling clothes, another guard, and to my right there is a horse. "So what do you think of Unicorn Way Esmee?'
"It's big, even bigger than the Commons!"
"Yep, that over there is the arena." Jacob was pointing ot the big doors beside the horse. "So where are my quests that I have to do?"
"Right see that guard he's the guy you have to talk to." I walk over to the man, and he tells me that I should stay on the sidewalk or I'll get trapped in a battle wiht some monsters. That fightened me. He also told me that it would help him a lot if I could defeat some evil monsters for him, I'm a bit fightened but I see Jacob nod to me and I say yes. "So now let's go kill some baddies!"
"Okay" I say as I run after Jacob. He gets into a battle with a ghost thing. He uses some kind of myth spell but it fizzled, so I use imp.
Though it only took a bit of it's life away. Oh wow another ghost joined! I look at Jacob he just gives me a reshurring smile. So once we finish off those ghosts, I see I got some XP, wow amazing! I even got cool stuff like a new robe! It gives me extra mana, awesome. "Well how was that? Not so bad right?"
"No it was fun I can't wait to do it again!"
"Well now we need to talk to that guy again because he's going ot give you even more XP for finishing that quest!"
"Really?! Okay let's go then!" I rush off to that guard I spoke to earlier, he gave me some XP and I leveld up! Wow I'm so happy! "Well you leveld up! How does it feel?"
"Amazing!"
"That's how i felt when I first leveld up. Okay look some other people would like to talk to you and give you a quest. Let's go!"
"Wow okay." And i ruch after Jacob that whole day I was running around doing quests and leveling up.
It was getting late, and I had to leave, Jacob added me to his friends so we could keep in touch, and I went home. When the day was finished I was already a level 6! I was so happy, I learned spells, and got traning points, XP, and a new friend too. I can't wait until tomorrow, when we go to the Shopping District to get me some new clothes!
| The Takedown
Mitchell is at a party, surrounded by wizards screaming and throwing things everywhere. It seems like he is the only civilized person there. Someone spots the staff he took from the assassin and says, "Dude, that is an awesome staff." Typical party guy answer. "Uh, thanks." Mitchell replied. Suddenly, the Storm Tower starts shaking. Wizards are running out the door, wondering what caused the tremor. Mitchell stays behind bravely. The tower suddenly turns into a MooShu-like backround, with a battle circle looming in front of Mitchell. Suddenly, a blue Oni stands in a battle spot. "Who the heck are you?" The strange Oni replies, "I am the Water Oni, Malistaire sent me." "Great," Mitchell thinks, "Another assassin." A familiar voice sounds, "You won’t be alone though!" Mitchell squints, then yells, "Seth?! Adam?!" (Seth Death is full name, Adam is just Adam,lol,) Seth and Adam jump into the battle circle. The Oni is stunned. "What the… how did you get in here?!" Adam just simply answered, "There WAS a storm tower, you know." Mitchell asks Seth how he knew his thoughts. "It was all in the Death Arts, bro." The Oni is quickly defeated after a couple Minotaurs and boosts from Adam, and skeletal pirates from Seth and Mitchell. While the Oni is on the ground, Mitchell sees three copies of the Oni’s sword. He takes them and gives them to his friends, saving one for himself. The Oni still has one speck of health left, so Mitchell decides to try out his new staff. He casts a death spell, then MALISTAIRE APPEARS. He makes his hand all glowy with dark blue and then shifts his hand to the Oni’s heart. The Malistaire then punches it through. The spell character having disappeared, Mitchell and his friends go home to Wizard City.
| The Gathering (part 4)
I’m walking towards the Headmaster’s tower when all of a sudden; the yellow cube I’m holding starts to glow blindingly! I gasp, than from the corner of my eye I see boy by my side, “Let go of the cube!!!” he shrieks, now why didn’t I think of that? I drop it, not caring whether or not it broke. It’s still shining brightly. “No!” the boy gasps. I was about to ask what was wrong but than, something very odd happens. I start seeing things, not good things but very-very-very bad things!! I see Malistaire in wizard city, destroying everything in his path, everything is faint and dark, and I see him hurting everybody and everything, even a small nest of baby unicorns! “NO!” I gasp as I see him tearing down… my house! I see Dylan through the top window, and my parent in the living room window, all our pets are outside terrified, the house goes burning… crumbling… it collapses to the ground with everything inside it… everything… “NO! NONONONO!!!” I shriek. I’m trembling now, “Hey! Listen, uh, girl! Cover your eyes! Don’t look! It’s all just an image made by Malis-” he starts to say, but he can’t finish what he’s saying because we both get surrounded by violent winds.
“No! Not this time!!” he says, than he holds on to my arm and says, “Hold on tight! We’re transporting to a different dimension that was hand made by Malistaire!” Why do these things happen to me? Something red comes flying at us, “DUCK!!!” he shrieks but its too late it misses him and comes at me, “Eeep!” I squeak as I try to dodge it. I almost made it, but not quite… it hits me instead, “Ow! That stung…a…little…” I start to say, but a flood of darkness overcomes me. “HEEELLLOOO??? HEEYY… STAAYY…WIITTHH MMEE!!!” I hear the boy’s voice slowly getting fainter.
"Uuhhn…” I sigh, where am I? “Huh? W…what’s happening?” I ask as I spot the other guy sitting on the floor next to… my cage? What’s going on here? Oh cross out floor, I meant bottom of a hanging cage!!! “Oh, hey there stranger!” the boy says casually, “My name is Seth SilverSkull, and as you can see, we are in cages!” he said. “I am a death wizard and the wizard who put us in these cages is none other than Malistaire, you probably guessed already.”
“Okay… well I’m Alexis HeartFlare, just call me Aly. By the way, do you have any idea of why we are here?”
“I actually don’t know myself…” he says sheepishly, “he said something about Shielders… or Nielders, something like that.”
“Wielders.” I correct him.
“Ya that’s it, Malistaire mumbled ‘two down, four to go’ I think, but… I haven’t a clue what a Wielder is! Do you know maybe? I mean he said two down and I only see me and you!”
I sigh, is this guy really a Wielder? “If you really are a Wielder, than a giant black hole will pull you down and you get some information about yourself.” I sigh again, hmmmm, I look at him more clearly for the first time. “Hey, have I ever met you before? You seem very familiar…” I ask.
“Humph! I’m surprised you don’t know me! Almost everyone in Ravenwood knows, ‘The Death and Life Wizard twins’? ‘Wacky Combo Siblings’?” he tries. I shake my head in confusion.
“You might have been so unlucky to meet my sister,” he offers, “Melanie GoldSeed; she prefers to combine Life and Death magic to make herself more powerful, she loves to make her own spells with her combinations.”
“M…Melanie?? Um, sounds familiar…” Melanie…Melanie…Melanie… I know I’ve heard that name before!
“Ack! Your sister, is MELANIE?!?!?” It finally hit me! “Your sister attacked me just because I bumped into her!! She hurt my poor Firecat!!!”
“Uuuh… Ya, that sounds like Melanie to me. We’re twins.”
Oookkaaayyy… I’m just going to pretend that he never said that, and that he’s an only child.
I just shake my head and go on to the next question.
“So how’d you know about the trap? You know the cube thingy.”
“Oh, about that…” he looks down a little, “my parents were caught in the same thing, I don’t know why, but I knew how. I witnessed it all happen… but I know for sure that this has Malistaire written all over this!”
“Okay, well I’m kinda getting bored here; let’s try to find a way out.” Seth announced.
“Oh wait! Look at this…” his hand was reaching towards an onyx colored sphere.
“Waitwaitwaitwaitwait! Don’t touch that yet!!” It’s one of the Wielders gems!
“Why? What’s the matter?”
“I have an idea!!” I finally say. “Listen up,” I start to explain to him on what’s going to happen when he picks up the jewel, “okay? Got it?”
“Ya, sure. But what’s you’re point?”
“Listen; hold my hand when you pick it up.”
“What? Why?”
“It’s our only way to freedom!” I start to explain, “We’ll both fall in the hole no matter what if we are touching some how. And, from the last time I fell in the hole, when it was all over, we fell back in the Commons!”
“Okay I see what you’re saying; you really think this is going to work?”
“I don’t know for sure,” I sigh, “but it’s better than doing nothing…”
“Well, I’m in!”
He grabs my hand and starts to reach towards the sphere. I have to lean all the way against my cage just so he can reach it.
“Got it!” he gasps.
“Okay, now prepare yourself to fall!”
The big black hole starts to form under us as soon as I finished my sentence.
“WWWWWWHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Seth yells. He sounds more like he’s on a rollercoaster ride!
“NNOOOOWWW SSSEEETTTHHH!!!! PPPRRREEEPPAAARRREE YYYOOOUUURRRRRSSSSSEEEEELLLLFFFF TTTTOOOO LLAAAANNDDDD OOONNN YYYOOOOUUUURRRR FFFFEEEEETTTTT!!!! DDDDDOOOOONNNN’TTTTT WWWOOOORRRYYY TTTHHHHOOOOUUUGGGHHHH!!!! IIITTTTT WWWWOOOONNN’TTTTT HHHUURRRRTTT AAAA BBBBBIIIITTTT!!!”
“HHHHHEEEEEYYYY AAAAALLLLLYYYY???? TTTTTHHHHIIISSSS IIISS KKKIINNNDDDAAA FFFFFUUUNNN!!!!” Seth shouts back.
Than we stop in mid-air, just as I predicted. And we both land on our feet.
“Well that’s an experience I’ll never forget!” Seth smiles.
The big and booming voice thunders out.
“ONE NEW, ONE HAS KNOWN. YOU BOTH HOLD THE UNIVERSES IN YOUR HANDS. DEATH, YOU SHALL HOLD GREAT DESTINY WITH THE OTHER WIELDERS. ICE/FEAR, MYTH/WISDOM, FIRE/POWER; STORM/COURAGE, DEATH/SYMPATHY. YOU’VE STILL NEED TO FIND GRIEF OF LIFE. THAN, THE GATHERING TO SAVE THE UNIVERSES SHALL BEGIN, BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE ALL UNITED AS A TEAM! TELL NO ONE EXCEPT FOR THE WEILDERS. LET THIS PRINT IN YOUR HEAD, YOU WILL REMEMBER….. REMEMBER……”
As the voice died away, it became dark again. Than really bright, we fell next to the water fountain in front of the Headmasters’ house.
“Ow, that kind of hurt,” Seth groaned, “but hey! Look at this!” he holds up (his used to be sphere and now-) a black amulet.
“Congratulations Seth! Now you’re a Wielder! Did you understand all of what has just happened?”
“Ya, uh ya… this is so sudden though!” he just gazes down at his necklace.
“Listen, why don’t you go rest at the dorms and maybe meet some of the other Wielders!”
“Huh? Uh, okay.”
“Look, here are they’re door numbers,” I hand him a piece of paper with Wolf and Dylan’s door numbers. “Just show them your amulet and they’ll know who you are. Oh and remember! Tell no one! Not even your sister!!”
“Got it! Nice meeting you Aly and, uh, see you soon I guess!”
Than he walks away casually towards the dorms. I sigh, what am I getting myself into?
“Well, don’t want to get in any more trouble today…” I mumble to myself as I run towards the girl dorms.
Aaaahhhhh… such a peaceful night… hhhmmmm. Too peaceful. Better go see what’s going on.
I walk out of my room to see all the girls huddled up in the middle of the hallway. “-and than what happened Melanie?” I overhear. “Omigosh! You really saw it all?” I hear bits and pieces of their conversation; I stand by the edge of the crowd. “That’s too sad!!” complained another girl. “-he was cute as well!! The pain!” what’s going on??? “-two deaths by Malistaire? That’s over the top!! Melanie are you sure this really happened?” what??? Two deaths by Malistaire?!?! We’ve got to tell the Headmaster! I hear Melanie’s’ voice over the crowds, “I know I know, I see a few new people in the crowd so listen up because I’m only going to repeat myself ONE more time!” I hear the girl in front of me mumble, “Ya, ‘cause you’ve gone on and on about seven times now already!”
“My twin brother, Seth SilverSkull, and an amateur wizard; Alexis HeartFlare,” Huh? What about me and Seth? “Were captured by Malistaire as an example to what he would do to anyone who got in his way! They both tried as hard as they could to escape, but in the end… they both fell of a cliff!!! I witnessed it all!! I tried to save them, I did! But Malistaire was too powerful! I transported at the last second to the commons before I too, ended up with the same fate! I’m truly sorry of what happened to them.” I see her grin a little ending her speech. I can’t believe it! How could she!!! “I KNOW AS A FACT THAT MELANIE IS LYING!!!!” I shriek over everybody. I hear some girls whispering. “How do we know that YOU’RE not lying?” a red head inquires. Others start to mumble their agreements to each other. “Ya! Who are you to say I’m wrong!?” Melanie spat back at me.
“Because…” Dramatic moment, (always wanted to do that!) “I AM ALEXIS HEARTFLARE!!! YOU LIAR MELANIE!!! YOUR BROTHER ISN’T DEAD EITHER!!!! HOW CAN YOU DO THIS?!?! HOW CAN ANY OF US, THAT’S RIGHT, EVERYONE EVER TRUST YOU AGAIN?!?!?! FOR ALL WE KNOW, YOU COULD BE WORKING FOR MALISTAIRE!!!” I let myself explode on her. (I’m not one to get mad easily, but boy, when I’m mad… let’s just say you’ll know!) I hear gasps of surprise come from most of the girls, than they started murmuring agreements with me. Melanie turned pale then, “B…But, I saw the cages… they fell… how can this be…?” Melanie whipped her head towards me, “I saw those cages fall of a cliff with my own eyes! You can’t be here!!! Y…you’re a lost soul now aren’t you!” everyone fell silent, than a small girl no older than my brother, came up to my and poked me in the gut. “Ow! Why’d you do that?” I stare sternly at the girl, “You’re no lost soul!” she finally announced. “Of course not.” I kneel down to her, “I am Alexis though, I am.” She just smiles and nods her head, then she steps back and waves bye, “Well, I believe you and I’ve had enough of Melanie for today.” Then she skips away from the crowd. The crowd of girls is slowly dying away, all one by one walking either out of the dorms, or back to their rooms. Melanie disappeared in the crowd clearly trying to get away from me. I’ve got to find Seth and all the other wielders.
“Seth?” I go through the boy dorms hallway, which takes a lot of courage for a girl to do… I knock on Wolf’s door, “Huh? Uuuuhhhh… who is it?” I hear a muffled voice through the door, “Wolf, open up it’s me; Aly.”
“Um… Aly who?”
I shove the door wide open. And there’s Wolf in the middle of the floor under Dylan and Seth, they’re all holding pillows, but when they see me come in, they all hop off the ground and drop their pillows.
“Well, well boys. Very appropriate.” I smirk at them.
“Look, you don’t peep a word and… and we’ll do whatever you want!” Seth says quickly. Wolf and Dylan just glare at him because of his sudden outburst.
“Look, I won’t say anything. Just listen!”
“Aly, I’ve already told them what happened and they all told me what’s been going on with our whole situation.” And then Dylan adds very quickly, “Wolf started it!” Wolf scowls at both of them, “Traitors…” he muttered under his breath.
“That’s not what I wanted to say!” I protest.
“Than what do you want to say?” Seth asks.
“Ya! You’re on our territory now!” Dylan shouts.
“Arrgghhh! Do you want to know or not?! This is very important to the Wielders!!”
“Fine, fine. You talk and we listen we get it already!” Wolf complains.
I explain to them what Melanie did and when I finished they all stare at me wide-eyed. Seth gets pale, “I think… Melanie… my own sister…” Seth stutters, “That’s it!” Seth announced, “Melanie has gone as an apprentice to Malistaire himself!” We all gaze at him shocked.
“How could you say that about your own sister?!” Wolf breaks the silence.
“I… I just know okay? Melanie… she’s been acting very different lately… and, she’s changed… I’ve sensed something dark in her now…”
“What? What do you mean ‘sensed’ about her?”
“We’re twins right?” Seth starts to explain, “We can feel each other in sense of goodness at the moment, and evil… like if you get really, really mad, you get a small tick of evil in you, but only at the moment. She’s… she has more evil in her now.”
We all fall silent again.
“Awesome!!!” Dylan jumped in.
“Hmmm… this is going all wrong!!!”
