| Wolf, what is this?
As Wolf neared Hunter, he was surprised.
He hit something that looked like a webbed hand. Then it budged and flung open and threw Wolf into the hard gorge walls.
Hunter was now revealed. A black star settled on his nose. The white parts of his eyes were now black, his hair longer and grey along with his skin. He had dark purple lips and sharp dark purple nails.
Then something tried to get out on the opposite side of the other "hand." It was another hand.
"Hunter, y-your a...m-monster," Wolf whispered.
Hunter got up.
"Heh, Wolf, if your so special, then in the end, I'm more special than you. We're both monsters in different ways, Wolf!"
Wolf finally got out of the gorge.
Wolf threw a magic branching towards Hunter, but dodged. To Hunter's surprise, another branching from the other branching got Hunter and threw him to the gorge walls.
Wolf quickly jumped onto Hunter, with his arm placed on his neck, staring hard at him.
"You really...you son of a gun...you really...DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR FREAKIN' LIFE!!!"
"Why do you even care?"
"DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO SPEND YOUR LIFE? NOT WASTE IT!!! YOU CAN'T SPEND YOUR LIFE TO MALISTAIRE!!! SPENDING IT ON A SCAM-LIKE THINGAMAJIG IS A WASTE OF YOUR LIFE!!! THINK OF ALL THE EVENTS THAT NEEDED TO HAPPEN!! LIFE IS ABOUT ENJOYING IT!! NOT ENJOYING IT RECKLESSLY!!!!"
"Grrr....THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY LIFE!!! YOU NEVER EVEN HAVE PARENTS OR A COMPLETE FAMILY!! YOU WERE ALONE TO START OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE!! HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S IT LIKE TO HAVE A LIFE WITH A FAMILY?!?! ALL YOU GOT IS A SISTER!!!!"
Wolf jumped back, his face half happy half sad kind of. Hunter stood up and rubbed his neck.
"Well, if you felt my pain, you would understand. Everybody I have met, I would think of as a member of my 'family.' And, Hunter, I thought of you"-Wolf slowly looked up-"as a brother."
Hunter's face grew gentle, and then he relaxed a bit.
Then Hunter ran at Wolf and threw a punch at him.
Wolf went flying into the pool the waterfall made.
Wolf jumped back up.
"But still, I have to severe the bond, but that's not the reason, Wolf. Killing your closest friend is a strategy to gain power. And I plan to do this the old fasioned way, no magic."
Wolf was sure his heart skipped a beat.
"Hunter, you didn't hear what I said, did you? Pain could be tricking you into killing me for that little power! You could actually get nothing back but regret! Pain may be wanting you to have nothing left because you killed your closest friend!"
"Hmph."
Meanwhile back at Headmaster's Tower, the wizards return in the result that they couldn't find Hunter.
"Hmmm...it seems every one has returned, except Wolf," Professor Ambrose said.
"What do we do? Do you think Wolf has found him?" one of students ask.
Ambrose sighs, "I think he has, and they may be in a middle of battle, we have to stop it otherwise they get hurt, or worse, killed."
Ambrose looks at Malorn Ashthorn, "Malorn, I need you to search for them, and since we don't know where they are, we can't teleport. So I have summoned a talking bloodhound."
A saggy dog walks out behind Ambrose.
"Hello, call me Nukkap," says the bloodhound.
"Okay now, go and hurry up. Search for them!" Ambrose rushes them.
Will Malorn find Wolf and Hunter?
Or will it be too late?
