Hello European Wizards!

As you may have heard from the initial announcement on the KingsIsle Blog, the European Wizard101 servers previously maintained by Gameforge will be coming home to KingsIsle in Q2/early summer 2022.

Starting the week of May 16, KingsIsle will begin opening the registration process for completing the transition of Gameforge EU accounts. During the registration process, Gameforge Wizard101 EU players will be able to use their personal transition code to complete registration on the official KingsIsle transition web page.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to a technical glitch, the personal transition codes you have previously received are invalid! Only the transition codes you get by visiting the website or which you receive by email from April 13 and afterward are valid and functional.

We’re extremely excited to welcome you into our KingsIsle family and want to make sure you have the smoothest transition possible.

How Can I Transition my Gameforge data over to KingsIsle?

You will receive a transition code through the email connected to your Gameforge Wizard101 account. This transition code is your golden ticket to accessing your existing Gameforge characters, items, and progress on the new KingsIsle Wizard101 European servers once our transition service opens.

Stay tuned here and on our social media channels (Twitter and Facebook) for more information on how to use your transition code when the time comes. Since your transition code is the key to linking your new account with your existing progress, it’s extremely important that you don’t misplace it or delete the emails containing it.

We take data privacy very seriously and hope to welcome you to the official KingsIsle Wizard101 European servers soon. However, if you don’t want your player data transitioned to KingsIsle, you’ll have the option to opt-out of it. Please refer to the official information provided by Gameforge for further details.

Again, registration is not open and we are not ready to accept your code just yet. Please keep watch here and on social media in the weeks ahead for updates on when our service opens and you can use your code!

Servers and Your Account

GameForge accounts will transfer to KingsIsle EU, not to KingsIsle North America.
Wizard101 games worldwide are being re-aligned under one company, KingsIsle. Currently, KingsIsle runs the North American (NA) Wizard101 servers and Gameforge has 7 unique servers: UK English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Greek. This transition will be maintaining all individual servers, but now under one company, KingsIsle.
  • Make sure your Gameforge account email address is up-to-date!
  • Gameforge will be emailing all EU players a unique code to initiate the transition of your account. At a date to be announced, KingsIsle will start opening registrations with that code.
    • KingsIsle will not be able to identify your account, nor be able to complete the transition of your account(s), if you do not have your unique code.
  • Follow instructions in the transition emails. Keep the code you receive from those emails.
  • Follow the Gameforge and KingsIsle social media pages to keep up with the latest announcements.
  • Keep your code! We cannot replace it. Gameforge will provide a code lookup option on their website during the transition period.
  • Accounts are expected to be transitioned sometime in the second quarter of 2022. As we approach this time, we will continue to update the community on more specific dates and details. You can return to this website to view the date when it’s announced.
  • Until the published date for the transition, you will be able to continue to play on your existing Gameforge account. Please continue to contact Gameforge Support until otherwise directed for all normal account needs.
  • Keep your code! We cannot replace it. Gameforge will provide a code lookup option on their website during the transition period.
  • First and foremost, we want to assure you that KingsIsle takes data protection seriously, and the transfer of your data from Gameforge to KingsIsle is protected by corresponding EU standard contractual clauses/SCC. You can review the KingsIsle or Gameforge Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions at any time on the official game websites.
  • If you do not wish to participate in the transition, simply log into your account on the Gameforge website and select “opt-out”. Your data will not be transferred nor retained.
  • If you opt-out of transitioning your existing account, but later wish to continue playing, you will need to create a new KingsIsle account and start over with new characters.
No, neither Gameforge nor KingsIsle will offer refunds for store purchases, subscriptions or other Wizard101 related purchases if you opt out.
  • No. KingsIsle will be setting up new servers to transition Gameforge data and accounts. You will not be able to move an account to a disparate server; meaning a French account with Gameforge can only be transitioned to the new French KingsIsle server.
    • Can I pay to transfer characters to a new server? No, we cannot currently move account data to a disparate server.
    • I already have characters on a NA account. Can I merge them with my EU account? No, we cannot currently move account data to a disparate server.
Existing memberships will be carried over. They will remain active with full membership privileges through the paid time; however, they will not auto-renew. If you wish to continue your membership access, simply resubscribe through the KingsIsle website after the transition.
  • Yes! All account and game data, including character names, levels, items, etc, will remain the same on the new servers.
  • To ensure the easiest move, retrieve all unclaimed items from your gift window.
  • Follow the Gameforge and KingsIsle social media pages to keep up with the latest announcements.
  • Keep your code! We cannot replace it. Gameforge will provide a code lookup option on their website during the transition period.
In-game friends lists will be preserved, though be aware that friends on your list may or may not accept the transition of their accounts to the new EU servers.
  • Your accounts will remain updated throughout the transition process. You can continue to play and purchase items until the transition itself is announced.

  • KingsIsle will be supporting major Credit Cards and PayPal in USD at the initial transition period.
  • Development is underway to support PaySafeCard, Sofort and other local payment methods. They will be activated some time post-transition.
Offers and promotions for the EU community will largely be determined separately, though will still rely upon what new game content is introduced at the time.

Save your transition code!
  • This is your unique code for using on KingsIsle’s website when registration opens sometime in the second quarter of 2022. This page and FAQ will be updated at that time to include registration instructions, so keep watch here for updates!
  • Keep your code! We cannot replace it. This is your hall pass to the new EU servers. Gameforge will provide a code lookup option on their website during the transition period.
  • Check your email you used to register your Gameforge game account, including spam, junk, and other folders for the code email. It may not have been sent yet.
    • If you are unable to locate the email, please contact Gameforge.
  • Gameforge will also provide a way to retrieve the code for a limited time during the transition process, so don’t delay. A few emails will be sent throughout the transition period that will include your code.
  • Keep your code! We cannot replace it. Gameforge will provide a code lookup option on their website during the transition period.
  • No, your code will only be redeemable on the KingsIsle Wizard101 EU servers.

  • Until the transition occurs, contact Gameforge as you normally would. Once the transition occurs and you’ve completed it using your personal code, contact help@wizard101.com.

  • No, Parent Accounts and Child Accounts will be treated as separate accounts with their own transition codes.
  • Once the separate accounts are created & transitioned, you will then have the ability to link them into a family group.
It will work the same as it does now for EU servers.
Game updates are planned to be conducted but the timeline of their release compared to NA updates is still being developed.
Once you’ve completed the transition, the membership will not be automatically renewed, so active cancellation is not necessary.
Test Realm will remain on NA servers for now. Content updates released on EU servers will then already have a fully tested update. Localization needs will be tested internally.
The EU community will continue! KingsIsle is excited to be working with all EU players to continue to foster and develop the amazing community that exists.

The current EU forums will be turned off after the transition is complete and about the same time the Gameforge servers will be shut down.
